Lab Apache webserver

Learning Objectives: Learn what and how to set up my own server through my own computer

Equipment: My macbook pro. that is currently running OS Catalina

Notes, Observations and Questions: Starting out I was having a tough time initiating Apache. when looking through the commands one of them looked like this

apachectl start

After trying time and time again typing what i saw and it looked like apachect1 start when in all actuality it is apachectl start. i only found this out when i did a little research on the file not found message that i was getting back that i found out that i was typing it in incorrectly. once i changed it up everything started up nicely. the only bad thing is that since i started so late i havent been able to change the server name it is still under local host and it comes up. IT WORKS.

Conclusions: If i didn’t think that there was something wrong with my computer I might have done a lot more with the assignment but i did learn that i should make sure that what i am typing in is correct.
